Musique concrète, literally.
Musique concrète, literally: Ricardo Kocadag has developed a record made entirely out of concrete. Amazingly, it plays on any turntable, as you can see and hear in the video. We would have probably chosen another track (i.e. “Concrete Jungle” by Troy Brown or “Concrete” by The Neon Judgement) but it’s cool to see what’s possible in the world of weird music formats.

Giant Wooden Xylophone Playing Bach
Have you ever seen a giant wooden xylophone in the forest? Just kidding, of course you haven’t! Well until now that is…. The Japanese adverting agency known as Drill Inc. built a giant wooden xylophone that’s roughly a mile long in the middle of a forest. Each wooden key is made up individual notes, and when a wooden ball starts rolling down it, it plays Bach’s famous Cantata 147. And yeah… they did all of this for a cell phone commercial.

The book of the sounds of Star wars
Any Star Wars fan can mimic Darth Vader's voice or Chewbacca's roar with ease. But how many of them would be able to identify the lion's roar used in the sound of the Millenium Falcon's engine? In this aurally astonishing and visually engaging book, New York Times best-selling author J. W. Rinzler reveals the illuminating history of the sounds that make the Star Wars universe so believable, as recounted by their creator, legendary sound designer Ben Burtt. An attached sound module with an exterior speaker and headphone jack lets readers listen to more than 250 unique sound effects, and more than 300 photographs illustrate the epic's many memorable scenes. From the first films to the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, The Sounds of Star Wars is Star Wars as you've never heard it before.

We are Marshall
Often brands are told to stay close to what they are known for, but there are indeed some exceptions to that rule, especially when the core values and products are not impacted or partially ignored. Marshall refrigerators on the other hand almost falls in the category of a match made in heaven, or at the very least, a somewhat clever licensing deal.
